Not only confined to ancient texts, Rasalila has inspired various Indian classical dances like Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Manipuri Raas Leela, Kuchipudi, and Kathak. Kathak, in particular, traces its origins to the Rasalila of Braj and experienced a revival in the 1960s led by the renowned Kathak dancer, Uma Sharma.
