Sri Durga Apaduddharaka Stotram-Durga Ashtakam

Sri Durga Apaduddharaka Stotram is a very powerful hymn dedicated to Goddess Durga (Adishakti). It is also called Durga Ashtakam or Sridurgastabaraja. It is from Siddheshwari Tantra and and a part of Umamaheshwara Samvada. Maheshwara (Lord Shiva) is telling this stotram to Uma (Goddess Durga). It is said that the devotee whosoever recites this stotram 3 times a day or one stanza for once in a day with devotion, concentration and faith will become free from all troubles and difficulties and will be blessed with peace and happiness. Let’s chant Sri Durga Apaduddharaka Stotram with devotion.

namaste sharanya shive sanukampe namaste jagadvyapike visvarupe।
namaste jagadvandyapadaravinde
namaste jagattarini trahi durge ॥1॥

namaste jagaccintyamanasvarupe
namaste mahayogini jnanarupe।
namaste namaste sadanandarupe
namaste jagattarini trahi durge ॥2॥

anathasya dinasya trsnaturasya
bhaiartsya bhitasya baddhasya jantoh।
tvameka gatirdevi nistarakartri
namaste jagattarini trahi durge ॥3॥

aranye, rane, darune, satrumadhye
nale, sagare, prantare, rajagehe।
tvameka, gatirdevi, nistaranauka
namaste jagattarini trahi durge ॥4॥

apare, mahadustare, tyantaghore
vipatsagare, majjatam, dehabhajam
tvameka, gatirdevi, nistarahetur
namaste jagattarini trahi durge ॥5॥

namascandike chandordanalila-
smutkhandita khandita sesshtroh
tvmeka gatirdevi, nistarabijam
namaste jagattarini trahi durge ॥6॥

tvmeka sadaradhita satyavadi-
nyanekakhile krodhana krodhnishta।
ida pingala tvam susumna ca nadi
namaste jagattarini trahi durge ॥7॥

namo devi durga sive bhimnade sadasarvasiddhipradatrsvarup।
vibhuti saci kalaratri sati tvam
namaste jagattarini trahi durge ॥8॥

saranamasi surananm siddhavidyadharananm
munimnujapashunanm dasyuvistrasitana।
nrpatigrhagatanam viyadivih piditanam
tvamasi saranmeka devi durge prasida॥9॥

idanm stotram maya proktampaduddharhetuka।
trisandhyameksandhyanm va pathanadghorsankatat ॥10॥

sarvam va slokamekam va yah
pathedbhaktiman sada. ॥11॥

sa sarva duskrtam tyaktba prapnoti paramam padam।
pathanadsya devisi kinm na siddhyati bhutale।
stavarajmidanm devi sanksepatkathitam maya ॥12॥

iti srisiddhesvaritantre umamahesvarasambade
sri durga apaduddharaka stotra।
